Blooms of Large Proportions
|This morning, while driving to work, I was crossing underneath the pedestrian bridge on Cesar Chavez when an image popped into my head.|
|The sky in my view was full of flowers, large roses, their petals probably 5 or 6 feet wide, pushed together and blooming, their faces fairly open toward me: red, yellow, light pink, magenta. Not hundreds of small ones, but extremely large ones. They looked fun, comforting, uplifting, playful, and a little over-the-top.|
The sight was clearly impractical and more decorated than I might have dreamt up, but in those few seconds, they were so real, and I believed that I could look for and see them almost anywhere and anytime if I wanted to.
